EXPERT DECRIES ATTEMPTS TO USE CONVENTIONAL FORCES VS. 'STATELESS' ISLAMISTS. [ UPI ]

Once again, our Pentagon (whose staggering budget alone could be seen as causing our federal deficit !) is seen as basically useless in the 'war on (individual, stateless) terrorists.
Pentagon's snazzy bombers,etc., were useless vs. the 19 men armed with box-cutters who brought down the twin towers on 9/11/01. Such bombers were also useless against the bombers in London and Spain.

GOP Congress and WhiteHouse shovel trillions to Pentagon, over the years--but they WON'T fund adequately the needed precautions for Homeland Protection--e.g. funding expanded nurses'-training programs in preparation for the inevitable biowar attack here.

GOP's only concern about Homeland Defense is as an excuse for spying on Americans and torturing people.
